I’ve been a bit drained out recently, and then I came down with the flu, and I could come with a lot more excuses but I’m sorry! I didn’t really expect to receive the amount of attention I got from the last makeup post, so I suppose you give the people what they want right? This is just a simple eye look that I wear most days (when I decided to wear makeup). To do this whole complete look takes me 30 minutes MAXIMUM. I’ve been doing makeup for a while now, so I’ve definitely got the flick of the wrist. I love this look because it goes with so many lip colours and suites so many complexions. I decide to only focus on the eyes for today’s post, but keep your eyes peeled for some dark skin foundation fun!
- NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil – Shade 604 Milk
- Morphe Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palette – Shade 35O
- NYX Matte Liquid Liner – Shade MLL01 Black
- Miss Sporty Fabulous Lash Mascara – Shade 001 Xtra Black
- HERHairUK Mink Fake Eyelashes – Style SNOB101
A – USE AN EYESHADOW BASE BABE. I promise you, you will love me forever. I often find that, even if you are working with highly pigmented eyeshadows, using a base increases the longevity of your eyeshadow, it can stop creasing and this can really help to make your eyeshadow stand out too! My eyeshadow base of choice is the NYX jumbo pencil in milk.
B – Use a muted brown colour above the crease of the eyelid to make for a nice transition (1). Then go into the actual eyelid crease and use a dark brown colour to create depth (2), and then add a light brown/nude colour to the entire lid (3). Eyeliner and false lashes are optional but very essential for me, so I went ahead and added a thin winged liner using NYX matte liquid liner, add some mascara (4) and applied HERHairUK Lashes in the style Snob101 (5).
Yeah, that’s it. I always have people asking me how I do my eyeshadows and honestly – less is more. There are some many looks that can be achieved with just one eyeshadow palette.
